Directed by the show’s author, Mark Bramble, the revival will begin performances on March 20, 2017, officially opening on April 4 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.42nd Street features a book by Michael Stewart and Bramble, lyrics by Al Dubin and music by Harry Warren. Young Peggy Sawyer is fresh off the bus from small-town America and just another face in the chorus line on Broadway’s newest show. But when the leading lady gets injured, Peggy might just have the shot at stardom she’s always dreamed of…The musical’s numbers include “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “Dames,” “I Only Have Eyes For You,” and “42nd Street.”42nd Street will feature set design by Douglas W Schmidt and costumes by Roger Kirk.The original 1981 Broadway production of the tuner won the Tony for Best Musical and the 1984 London incarnation won the Olivier for Best New Musical.
